Mind-Openers/Mind-Blowers Announced for May and June

Another Mind-Blower
Race and Public Policy: Finding Common Ground in an Uncommon Conversation
with Don Samuels
Minneapolis City Councilmember, Ward 3

The inability to have honest public conversations about race and public policy priorities means that we often can’t impact these very priorities.  We avoid the issue of race, and then inadvertently avoid the issues impacted by race.  This conversation will be an opportunity to talk about race in such a way that citizens become the solution-makers and beneficiaries as race intersects with public policy.  The conversation will mix presentation from Councilmember Samuels, with audience interaction and discussion.
