Law and the Common Good

How does our legal culture support and inhibit the common good? For a very interesting and thoughtful perspective, check out Common Good, a relatively-new bi-partisan organization based in Washington DC and New York City.

The Chairperson, Phillip Howard, was recently in town for a brief visit and gave a very compelling talk about how aspects of our current legal culture undercut the essential elements of citizenship and our civic infrastructure. Mr. Howard is the author of The Collapse of the Common Good and The Death of Common Sense.
