The Facts Unfiltered for the Fall Election!

Starting today, and continuing every Friday for five weeks, the Citizens League, the Pioneer Press and TPT will be presenting "The Facts Unfiltered" -- our effort to help provide citizens with the key pieces of information that they need for the fall election. An intro to the topic can be found here.

This week's topic is education.

We're thrilled to have worked with the Pioneer Press and TPT in this effort, and at the leadership provided by Committee Co-Chairs Dee Long (League Chair) and Stan Donnelly (League Boardmember), and the entire committee!

Almanac's introduction to the effort can be found here (September 10th show).

October "Mind Blower" on Race and Public Policy Announced

Join us on Thursday October 14th at 4:30 for our follow-up conversation on race and public policy with Minneapolis City Councilmember Don Samuels.

Thanks to the success of May's Mind-Blower event on the issue of Race and Public Policy, the Citizens League is proud to announce that Mr. Samuels will again be joining us to continue the discussion on this important issue and its impact on policy-making in Minnesota.

Attendance at the first event is by no means necessary to participate in this meaningful discussion on the ways that citizens can become the solution-makers and beneficiaries as race intersects with public policy.

Location: Plymouth Christian Youth Center Alternative School and Neighborhood Center 2021 West Broadway Avenue, Minneapolis
