Higher Education Study Committee to testify at Capitol

On Thursday, January 13, Higher Ed study committee co-chairs Rondi Erickson and Vance Opperman will present "Trouble on the Horizon," the Citizens League's 2004 report on higher education, to the Minnesota State Senate Higher Education Budget Division.

The meeting will take place at 12:00 in room 123 of the State Capitol.

The Citizens League is looking for volunteers and interns for a variety of upcoming projects. Projects include:

Community Connections Calendar update

The Community Connections Calendar continues to grow. In January, the calendar welcomed the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, Tele-Commuter Resources and the Westminster Social Justice Forum.

Upcoming events include:

- "Maroon and Gold Day" at the Capitol,
- and a conversation on "Searching for America's Heart: The War on Poverty" at St. Kate's.
