Mind Openers

Mind-Opener breakfasts are the longest-running public affairs forum in the state. They provide an informal setting for public officials, business and community leaders to discuss and debate issues. Our goal for the series is to program speakers on timely and important public policy issues and to give attendees the opportunity to question those speakers. Mind-Openers are informative, for both speakers and attendees. They move ideas around the community and help shape the public debate on diverse issues.

Mind-Openers reflect the Citizens League's conviction that democracy doesn't just happen; it's the fruit of controversy, debate, commitment and risk. But it's also very stimulating and a lot of fun!
