Rochester Affiliate
The Citizens League is pleased to announce that our affiliate in Rochester, Minnesota has been active since November 2009.
For the Citizens League, establishing affiliate groups throughout Minnesota advances our mission of building civic imagination and capacity and our purpose of helping to rebuild a civic infrastructure in Minnesota. These affiliates will help the Citizens League:- To improve the quality of our policy work by increasing our access to people who are impacted by policy problems, and helping us articulate the need for a "civic policy agenda;"
- To help to build a more diverse base of members, and to increase opportunities for civic leadership development;
- To foster partnerships that advance our organizing and policy goals, and help the Citizens League become more sustainable as an organization.
These affiliates help to extend the scope of our long-term goals and workplan towards policy development issues like poverty, long-term care financing reform, and water pollution.
