Citizens League Annual Meeting: Minnesota - You Betcha!
Monday, October 23
5:30 - Reception, 6:30 - program, 7:30 - dessert
The Milwaukee Depot
Join friends and neighbors from down the street and across the aisle at the Citizens League Annual Meeting. Following a brief (we promise!) business meeting, we'll share key findings from the Minnesota's 150th Anniversary Project polling done this year. Then, we'll ask you to weigh in on what we need to do to make Minnesota stronger for all Minnesotans.
There's no charge and everyone's welcome -- members and non-members alike -- so bring your friends and neighbors. This is a great chance to meet fellow members and introduce others to the Citizens League critical public policy work.
The annual meeting is free and open to everyone! Click here to RSVP online, or call 651-293-0575, ext. 16.
Minnesota Anniversary Project (MAP 150)
MAP 150 gives citizens a voice in creating a common agenda for Minnesota's future - and we need your help to do it.
- Volunteer to conduct phone surveys: On Tuesday, September 26 and Thursday, September 28, help us survey Citizens League members about what they think about citizenship and policy. It'll be an old-fashioned phone bank, complete with pizza. We know our members have things to say -- we just need your help in reaching them! E-mail Victoria Ford at vford [at] citizensleague.org to sign up.
- Share your knowledge on the MAP 150 Facts Unfiltered "wiki": Find out more about the project here.
Immigration and Higher Education Study Committee Update
The Immigration and Higher Education Study Committee has been conducting focus groups with immigrant parents and students across the state. Click here to read more about last weekend's Worthington focus groups -- and let us know what you think.
This week, Sean's blog covers recent changes at the Center of the American Experiment, the sloppy use of statistics in policy work, and a new picture of Sean's 3-month-old daughter.
Stay tuned - we will be launching a new policy blog very soon!
