Looking for a way to get involved with the policy work of the Citizens League? While we don't have any study committees open right now, we still need your input.
- Submit a topic proposal to the Policy Advisory Committee: Every few months, the Policy Advisory Committee considers proposals for policy topics. Have an idea for a study committee, event, or something else? Submit it now!
- Help us decide what policy issues we should include in the Minnesota Journal in 2007. Do you have suggestions for topics that fall under the MAP 150 policy areas? Or other policy ideas that we don't want to miss out on? Know someone who is doing interesting work that we should highlight? Post a comment on our blog to let us know what topics we should include in the Minnesota Journal.
- We're starting the conversation on our first MAP 150 policy question: How can politics become more functional in solving citizens' shared problems? Let us know what you think - your idea might even make it into the January issue of the Minnesota Journal!

Check out Sean's thoughts "in defense of experts." While we're committed to working with citizens to make public policy, that doesn't mean that "experts" -- people with real experience and knowledge in a given subject -- aren't also essential to making smart public decisions.
