Get actively involved in building the Citizens League by joining the Membership and Engagement Committee. We have a lot of work to do to reach our goal of 2500 members by the end of 2009!
Thanks to the work of the 2008 committee we started 2009 with some good news and exciting events:- In 2008 we reached and exceeded our membership goal of 2000 new or renewing members.
- Corporate membership exceeds 200 and financial support continues to be strong.
- About 70 young professionals and college students turnedout on January 30 for the 2009 Action Group meeting to form teams to address problems in education, poverty, and financial literacy.
- The Citizens League launched a new intergenerational event series on February 4, 2009
- The popular morning Mind Openers returned February 27 and will continue regularly at the Wilder Foundation.
- The Emerging Leaders Group is hosting a Happy Hour at Sweeney's in St. Paul on March 11.
The 2009 Committee is currently looking for members. If you're interested in helping the Citizens League with its 2009 Membership and Engagement Strategy we hope you'll join us at our first meeting on March 20.
