Immigration and Higher Education: Marnita's Tables

A part of the second phase of the Immigration and Higher Education study committee, we will be traveling the state and holding dinner conversations in each of the eight congressional districts. In partnership with Marnita's Table, we will host dinner conversations about the ideas this study committee is grappling with.

The dinners are free and very engaging. Over good food and drink, they bring together people who otherwise have few opportunities to connect - we will have immigrant adults and students, teachers, school administrators, lawyers, activists on all sides of immigration issues, local community and elected leaders, and other interested citizens. The average dinner size is 30-40 people, but we don't expect them to be sit-down dinners or dry panel discussions - get ready for some lively conversation!

You can find out more about Marnita's Table at www.marnitastable.org

If you are interested in attending any of these dinners, contact Victoria Ford at 651-293-0575 x17.
